Risk disclosure & risk tools

Summary

Digit contracts are high-risk. Each contract lasts 1–10 seconds and you can lose your entire stake on every one. Because of our margin, traders as a group get back less than they stake. Most people who trade often lose money over time. Only trade with money you can afford to lose, and never borrow to trade.

How you can lose money

  • You lose the full stake on a losing contract. There is no partial refund and contracts cannot be sold early.
  • Speed. A new result arrives every second. It is easy to place many trades quickly and lose more than you planned.
  • Losing streaks are normal. Even a contract that wins 90% of the time (Differs) loses several times in a row now and then.
  • Bots act without you. An automated bot keeps trading until it hits its limits or you stop it.

The odds and our margin

Every tick's last digit is random, and each digit 0–9 has exactly a 10% chance. Past digits never change the next one. A run of odd digits does not make an even digit "due".

We set every payout from the true probability, minus one fixed margin of 5%:

payout = stake × 0.95 ÷ chance of winning

ContractChance to win$1 stake paysAverage return

This means that, over many trades, you should expect to lose about 5% of the total amount you stake, whichever contract you choose. Short-term results vary widely around that average. That variation is what makes winning sessions possible, but the average always favours the platform.

Strategies and bots

No staking strategy changes the odds of the next tick. Strategies only change the pattern of wins and losses:

  • Martingale (doubling after a loss) wins small amounts often but occasionally loses a very large amount at once, when a long losing streak meets your balance or the maximum stake.
  • Entry patterns ("wait for 3 odd digits") do not improve the odds, because digits are independent.
  • Test any bot on the demo account first, and always give it a stop loss.

Enter your plan to see the honest maths before you trade: your chance to finish a session in profit, the expected cost, typical outcomes and, for Martingale, how likely a wipe-out is.

Figures are calculated from the true probabilities and current payouts. They describe averages and likelihoods, not guarantees.

Limits and breaks

Logged in, open ☰ → Risk tools to set personal limits on your real account. They are enforced by our servers, for manual trades, API trades and bots:

  • Daily loss limit: trading stops for the day once your net loss, plus open stakes, would pass it.
  • Daily stake limit: the most you can stake in total each day.
  • Daily deposit limit: the most you can deposit by M-Pesa each day.
  • Take a break: pause real-money trading and deposits for 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days. A break cannot be cancelled early. Withdrawals stay available.
  • Session take-profit and stop-loss on the trade screen pause manual trading when you reach your target or limit.

Lowering a limit takes effect immediately. Raising or removing one takes effect after 24 hours, so decisions are not made in the heat of the moment. Days run midnight to midnight, Kenya time.

Other risks

  • Currency: balances are in US dollars. M-Pesa deposits and withdrawals are converted at the rates shown in the wallet, which can change.
  • Technology: internet, phone or server problems can stop you from opening or watching trades. Contracts already bought still settle on their exit tick.
  • Payments: M-Pesa delays can hold a deposit or withdrawal for a while. Failed payments are reversed automatically, and unclear ones are checked by our team.
  • Regulation: digit and binary contracts are restricted or banned in some countries. You are responsible for making sure trading is legal where you live.

Getting help

Signs that trading is becoming a problem include chasing losses, trading money meant for bills, borrowing to trade, or hiding it from family. If that sounds familiar, take a break using the tools above and talk to someone you trust or a professional counsellor. In Kenya you can also contact the Betting Control and Licensing Board for information on responsible gambling support.
